A dollar for your thoughts

Wednesday, January 14th, 2009

We’ve had the bakery open for a little over 3 months now, and most of you reading this have had the opportunity to come in several times.  Thank you for business!

I’d like to know how we are doing.  Please send me an e-mail with your thoughts.  I am especially interested in knowing what we need to do better, or what you are unhappy with.  It’s never enjoyable to read a lot of criticism, but it is important to me — so much so that I will give you a dollar off on your next purchase if you tell me about something that disappointed you.

I think that just replying to email notification of this post is all that is necessary.  But if that doesn’t work, try:

Again, thank you for taking the time to do this.

Open Until 4:00pm

I forgot to mention that we will be closing early today — 4pm.   We’ll be back on our normal schedule tomorrow.

Happy New Year!

2008 is done, so on to 2009.  What a year!  We accomplished the major goal of getting the bakery up and running, but it was a lot more work than I imagined.  It’s still nice to see a dream come to fruition.  The bakery is not exactly the way I’d like it (and probably never will be), but we’re able to turn out some really nice products.  Unfortunately, our consistency hasn’t been good enough.  That will be our focus now that we are done careening from one holiday to the next.  Thank you for your feedback, support and patience.

We are open today.  We’re here mainly to do some wholesale orders and because we’d need to do some work for tomorrow.  I’m not expecting a lot of sales so we didn’t bake much.  I’m also hoping to catch up on bookkeeping that sort of thing.  Please stop by if you are in the area.  We’ll have baguettes, ciabatta, rye, cracked and a few sourdoughs.  Scones, cookies, croissants.  Most of the usual things.

Best wishes in the new year!
